Your Responsibilities

Do you want to create drive systems of future electric cars? Are you excited about new and innovative concepts and technologies? Do you have a broad technical knowledge, and do you like to solve complex challenges?
As Control and Software expert (m/w/d) you are integrated in the advanced engineering control & software group within an international company acting on a global scale. You assess new and innovative technologies for the control of e motor and inverter and integrate them into novel applications. In close cooperation with other departments and engineering groups as well as external partners in industry and research your exciting tasks in this position include:

• Evaluation of the state of the art and new innovative technologies in the field of control and software solutions for electric drivetrains by well-directed technology scouting and networking with research institutes and development partners
• Idea finding process: determination of assessment criteria, definition of maturity levels for the decision process and evaluation of feasibility
• Development of the technology roadmap and budget planning together with advanced engineering management, product management, and the building block organization
• Overall technical responsibility as well as design reviews and approval for advanced engineering projects
• Global know-how transfer by training/mentoring and development of colleagues as well as ensuring the competence buildup for advanced engineering and series development
• Support of the patent division regarding technical questions& contact to strategic customers and suppliers

Your Qualifications

• Academic degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics, at least Master’s degree, preferably PhD degree
• Training and teaching skills, experience in academic lecturing advantageous
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in automotive control and software design for e motors and inverters
• Methodic way of working with focus on model-based development
• bility to break down and get an overview of complex challenges and systems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as connectivity
• Fluent in spoken and written English, German advantageous
• Willingness to travel up to appr. 30%

• Their Lannach site, with around 2,000 employees, can be easily reached from Graz via the highway in just 15 minutes, and the Styrians‘ favorite excursion destination – the South Styrian Wine Route – is also very close by for an evening outing.
• Their St. Valentin site, with around 800 employees, is easily accessible both by private and public transport thanks to its excellent links to the Westautobahn and Westbahn railway lines. The unique natural and cultural landscape of the Mostviertel region around St. Valentin offers a wide range of leisure activities. Urban flair can be found in the nearby Upper Austrian capital Linz.

Salary:
For this function, they offer an attractive compensation package that matches your individual experience and qualifications. The gross annual salary corresponding to the metal collective agreement for 38.5 hours is at least 80.000 € (p.a.). Overpayment is possible according to your experience and educational background.
